And one of the things you absolutely don’t want is people thinking you’re not confident in yourself, and your product. Because if you’re not sold on your product, how can your potential client ever be?
So how do we fix this?
It’s very simple, let me explain.
Imagine.. You’re going to the doctor, you sit down with him and before he even knows why you’re there he starts selling you on some random pills, he tells you why they’re the best, how beautiful the package is, and that you’ll even get them on a discount!
This isn’t what you want right? You want your problem fixed, not some pills at a discount.
And that’s exactly why it never happens. When you sit down with a doctor, he starts asking questions, he analyzes your exact problem and with his expertise, he advises a certain type of treatment to help YOU, not him or herself.
This is what we need to do, when a potential client talks to you, he or she has a problem, or they wouldn’t be talking to you.
Your job is to ask the right questions, analyze their problem, and offer them the perfect solution they need. Put aside the need to earn money, close the deal, instead focus on what they need. Doesn’t your solution fix their problem? Don’t take their money. I know.. It sounds weird, but going into a sales meeting with this abundant mindset will get you way more deals than you lose because of it.
